I just got a used AP v.1.3 running stage 2 wondering if it might be a good idea to run a MBC and get it protuned?

Forget the MBC, use the stock boost solenoid and get a protune by an experienced shop. If the tuner wants better and more stable boost control try the prodrive or the GM 3 port boost soleniod.
