check engine light on RS '98 headers O2 sensor?

check engine light on RS '98 headers O2 sensor?
The check engine light is on an RS '98 I'm thinking about getting. The seller said the light is on because of something to do with when he put on the headers and the 02 sensor not having a plug??? Does this make sense? Any way to fix this?
I forgot what kind of headers he said they were.

he might mean bung

the best thing i can tell you to do is get an OBII scanner and have it read whats wrong

its after 95 so it will have OBII
