I am but I'm still waiting for some gauges to come in before I get crazy with it.
I'm using the stage 2 base map that's included.

I triple dog dare you to post exactly how the ECU uses the KC-A, B & C tables on the STi.

r4n,

I will do one better. How about 12.60/113 in the 1/4. 04 STI with a Street tuner and down pipe. Doh

And yes, the timing maps have been modified. And no, I cant post the timing maps. ;(

I've tuned several cars with Street Tuner with good results. While the software is lacking a bit, the system seems to work well, and Cobb is always hard at work improving the software. The STI's 3 KC maps are indeed a bit of a mystery. While I've been able to discover some general trends in the timing strategy, I haven't had the time to fully understand the system.

Thanks

I'd love to know that too. Some tuners (not specifically talking about AP anymore) only adjust the middle map and some make all three maps the same (kinda defeats the purpose).

Can't post the maps because you were told not too or because you don't have the tools/know how to do so?

Actually, I wrote my own timing maps. :-) I dont wish to release them due to the potential risk in another car in another climate with who knows what for gas, mods and you name it. I had to figure this stuff out and learn what is safe for my application. That said, I have seen just slight tweaking make a huge difference and I have seen the route where all 3 maps are made the same value. I can make each direction work.

Try to make some minor changes....log some data....make more changes....log some data....ect. Just trim down the drastic changes you see in the stock ABC maps and make some logs.

Bring the timing up to 18 by 4000 rpm...then ramp up smoothly to 30 degrees by redline. That should be a good place to start. Dont ramp the timing too soon under 4k to run the risk of detonation. But, this is a good start for a STI with basic mods of exhaust.

Cheers
Dave
