3 days after i bought my 06 wrx, the airbag light came on, i took it in and the airbag control module had a pinched wire between the the floor and body or somethings, the replaced it, take it in because if u get in a wreck ur airbags wont go off,, and if u have any thing under seats it could unplug a wire down there and cause it to go off, so check and make sure all the connections under both seats are good

don't even mess with the air bag system. if you acidentally set one off youll be going to the hospital. just bring it into a shop and have them do it.

I repeat DON'T MESS WITH YOUR AIR BAG SYSTEM.

don't touch the yellow wires

my coworker got to set off a demonstration airbag in one of her shop classes

was there anything leaning against the side of the seat? In my girlfriends car if I lean out the window for one of many reasons the "side airbag off" light comes on

if there was anything under ur seat it could have tugged one if the connections loose, making sure those are tight wont do anything like set it off, if there are bear wires dont even mess with them, if anything looks pinched or not right dont touch it.. just look under the seats and make sure theres no hanging or disconnected plugs, but honestly just take it in, i wouldnt want to make it worse
