Aftermarket Ignition
I was just curious if anyone knows of any aftermarket ignition for subys,. I know that there has to be one out there, besides the TECIII. Any info will help. Thanks

will this work for subarus? I have heard that they don't work, but I never understood why they wouldn't?

I looked on MSD's website and these ignitions are brand new.. They say they are for racing only, because the aren't carb approved, but who gives a &$&^ if they aren't street legal as long as they make my car fast!! I am going to call MSD and ask if they will work w/ SUBYS unless someone has more info.... nudge, nudge, wink wink..

There's another difference with some racing ignitions - they will not work with OEM ignition system parts. Street-type MSD ignitions can fire through the factory coil (at least on distributor ignitions), but a high-current MSD-10 drawing 25 amps may destroy the stock coils on the WRX. If you are calling MSD for guidance, you'll be okay. Click on image below for information on MSD-10 at MSD's site:
