AccessPort loading problem

I just got an AP and was trying to load up a default stage 1 map, but I’ve run into a problem.

I can get the ap to see what kind of car I have, then I can go through the list of maps.

But after I pick the map, the AP tells me to turn the car off then turn it on so it can save the stock map.

For some reason I cannot get it to save the map.

It shows a little percentage bar but it never saves the data.

It tells me there is an error and that it can't save the map then goes back to the main menu. And the damn thing won't tell me why it has an error.

Does anyone know why it would do that?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

don't you have to put the car into test mode or something?

connect the little green connectors under the drivers side dash?

You connected the re-flash connector too right?
So the green plug together, then the white plug that came with the accessport
Also, there is one additional re-flash connector on the passenger side....there are very very rare occasion where that one comes from the factory un-plugged
After you plug in the green connectors and the white connector, check to make sure your car is going into test mode by turning the key to the on position without the accessport plugged in.
If its in the test mode the fan should cycle on and off and the CEL light should blink...if it doesn't do that I would check the plug on the passenger side
If that doesn't help you probably need to call Cobb, maybe the ECU has some other ROM on it...

Well I tried every step that was in the AP manual again, step by step and this time it worked. I have no idea why it worked this time and not last time. My only guess was a connector didn't click all the way or something, and this time it did. Any whoo, it worked. And now I smile.

Thanks you two for the suggestions. Much appreciated.
