ACCESSPort Gas Mileage?
Just reflashed my stock 2004 WRX to the 93 SGT 1 Map (stock car), is anyone noticed quite a bad gas mileage at first? i pushed it the first 2 days and thats all, i shift around 2500 also.
Is it just the ecu tryin to learn and settling in?

I'm running stage 2 and I've gained better gas mileage. I average miles per tank between 270 - 310 miles, mostly city driving and occasional highway. I've reached 310 in a tank 3 times now, and that's at the lighting of the "E" on gas gauge.
I have had my Accessport on for about three weeks or so now. I have had worse mileage. I am just on stage 1 CA (04 WRX, no real mods, just gutted intake) I was getting 26-27, driving fairly aggressive about half the time. Now, I get 20-21, driving fairly aggressively about half the time. However, I believe that if I moderate my right foot, the needle won't drop as fast.... :-P I haven't tried economy mode yet, I am going to try that on my trip home next weekend (two hour drive) I am hoping that with stg2 in a couple weeks that I will get a little better mileage, but probably not. lol.

No reflash will make a huge difference in your fuel economy. Driving habits and traffic conditions determine what you sort of gas mileage you can get in your car.
I check my gas mileage at every fillup. In heavy freeway commute traffic I average 22.5 mpg. Light freeway traffic during non-commute hours I get between 24.0 and 24.5 mpg. On 100 mile trips out of town I get between 27 and 28 mpg, with one longer trip on level ground getting me just slightly over 30 mpg when I maintained a steady speed of 60 to 65 mph. At 30 miles per gallon, I could go well over 400 miles on a single fillup but that isn't realistic unless the terrain is flat and I don't have to pass slower moving vehicles at full-throttle. It's rare when I can't get more than 300 miles from a single tank of gas, and that's well before the low fuel indicator lamp comes on.

It only makes sense
That if you increase HP you're moving more air and fuel. It's only natural that milage would drop depending on how much power you gain. I don't understand how anyone has gained HP by running any power gaining aftermarket tune. My car gets somewhere in the neighborhood of about 18 to 21 MPG under normal driving conditions and about anywhere from 12 to 17 when I'm getting on it. That's running a stage 2. I'm guessing on those numbers, I haven't really done an actual test.
