Street Racing is bad....mmmmk?

And maybe those "punk kids" with STi's won't race because they are smart and don't actually degrade themselves to the safety hazard that is street racing.

In detroit it is always the mustangs that want to race. They rev on me at least once a month. I don't ever take the bait anymore. Once I did and ate one for dinner and after that I don't need anymore proof. Now a Saleen or Cobra may be another story.

 

Being a punk kid has nothing to do with age really. What makes them punk that I see them race 95 SOHC civics in their STI's then wont race me. Yes, streetracing is bad, but I get caught up and do it here and again.

 

Wow I'm bummed out no one ever revs on me anymore, and my muffler sounds rumbly. Wish some fool in a Civic would want a piece, haha these chumps in my area know what's up I guess

 

pretty easy to just go straight, challenge them (or yourself) to a track day. Then you will understand what real driving is all about.

 

i usually ignore ricers/domestics and just drive really slow when they start ****. most of the time it pisses them off so they take off and i just laugh!

funny thing is that most of those types of people can't even drive on a racetrack. whether it's autocross, roadcourse or drag racing.

 

What i hate about street racers is that they think their SOHC civics are all mighty because they are modified so much that their exhaust is dragging in the ground making sparks. Then they rev like crazy and when they do move, it moves like a snail. I was driving around and I saw a Toyota Corolla (02 version) with an oversized exhaust (3.5") and hell lots of TRD stickers thinking its a nascar or sth. How I hate that... Perfect sleeper is the way, and you wont get pulled over by cops.. cops..

 

The fact of the matter is you can't drive fast in San Diego county anymore without putting your freedom at risk. (the cops are calling it fellony endangerment) So when these guys pull up to my slightly modded 02' wgn and all i can see is the top of their head I let them rev all they want. Then I see the smoke billow off their front whells as they struggle up to 25 miles per hour, makeing all the noise in the world, I sit back and chuckle to myself (dumbass). I turn up the tunes a little louder, pull the girlfriends head outa' my lap a cruz on my merry way knowing that at any time I could lower the flat 4 hammer on him. Here's to the suby nation.......................Cuz' what I got is faster than what you got PUNK~

 

I've never raced anyone with my 02 WRX. I've had it since new and have been challenged many times here in the bay area. Most of the time I just sit there an laugh. Sometimes they even ask me, "hey, is that car fast?" I always answer, "nope. It sucks."

When I was younger and I had my 67 mustang together, red of course, I used to get challenged all the time. Mostly by those freaken ugly hondas with sprint car wings. They always wanted to beat me. I never raced them. All I would do would be a top fuel style burnout and litterally smoke them. : ) Anyway, those were the days when I used to get pulled over and the cops would tell me, yeah, I had a car like that when I was a kid. Just don't do it in front of me.

I get it from Evo owners, and 350Z owners. But their on the otherside of the street or we're in the mall parking lot. They figure, hell it's a stock WRX I'll pick on him. It's so lame, the tactics they come up with to showcase their mo-jo. I just laugh to myself because my car just appears to be stock.

 

nobody really revs at me, only one stranger has commented on my car so far.. I kinda like the fact that it has a bit of a 'sleeper presence'. by the way they only people who have tried to 'race me' (meaning speeding from one light to the next) was a merc clk430 and a z28 guy who didnt know how to drive (he tried a few times)... I just laugh every time a stock civic goes around screeching its tires trying to race somebody... its just sad...
