There's no real info at your site. Here are the rules posted by the City and County of San Francisco regarding public bonfires at Ocean Beach. The rules make good sense but I have doubts that the rules will be adhered to.
Bonfires on Ocean Beach are limited to the area between Fulton and Lincoln, which is directly across from Golden Gate Park. You cannot have a public bonfire near the Cliff House portion of Ocean Beach.
Notice the part about no alcohol, no parking in the lot after 10:00 p.m., and fires are limited to three feet in diameter. YOU are responsible for cleanup and leaving the beach the way you found it. I never knew anyone who would pick up after a bonfire because it is usually still smoldering after you put it out with water.
