Will r-compound tires hurt my car

I am looking into some r-compound tires on for my next season of auto-x. Do they put more strain on the trans and clutch. I wanted to upgrade my clutch anyway, but I really can not afford to start breaking trasmissions. Will the tires and a clutch cause a problem with my hard driving style. I have 50k and I am on my 2nd factory clutch with no transmission failures.

Yes they will put slightly more strain on your tranny, since the provide much more grip but I don't think it will cause it to fail, unless you are constantly trying to launch, dumping the clutch and making the wheels spin. You should be fine ....
