We can always rebuild your 5 spd tranny with new STi V6 RA gears if you don't want to wait. Let me know.

Thanks,
Preston

andyscoob - Usually between $3500-3800 depending on if it's DCCD or non-DCCD.
The rear end swap runs $1000-1500 depending on condition and what's included.

Thanks,
Preston

If you look on Ebay long enough, you can find:

5 speed WRX transmissions: $800 - $1200 (used vs. rebuilt)

6 speed USDM STi transmissions: $2500 - $3000

Recently, I just swaped in a USDM STi 6 speed into a 2004 WRX for $3043 total parts cost (everything: transmission, ring and pinion swap, gaskets, brackets, etc…) So yes, it can be done a lot cheaper by yourself… but I lost a lot of sleep and gained a few grey hairs in the process. Never mind the fact that I had to drive 1878 miles (round trip) just to pick up the transmission.
