Question liquidy Noise????

So i have been noticing a weird noise coming from my car the last couple of days. it sounds like moving liquid with hard chunks of stuff, i hear the noise inside the car right where the shifter is. does anybody know what that is, or what i should do. i searched around to see if anybody has heard things like this before but i didnt find anything. please help me out if you can

I doubt that you're hearing the tranny gear lube sloshing around. Are you having any transmission problems that began at the same time as the noises? If pieces of gear teeth were broken off, the problem would become worse over time as more teeth from that gear would continue to break.

Could the sound be coming from somewhere else underneath the car? Water in the door panels? Fuel sloshing around in the gas tank (normally can't be heard unless your back seat cushion is removed)?

Possibly. A lot of members claim it is the water pump making the noise.

Is the A/C on? Or the defroster, which would engage the A/C. I've had a WRX and now an STi. And they both made a weird noise but it was coming from behind the dash. Somehow I get the feeling this isn't your problem. My 2 cents.
