I've recently swapped a 6-MT into my '02 WRX after my 5-MT broke.
After loving the way my WRX got around in the snow and gravel with the 5-MT and a locked rear diff (didn't know until I did the swap) I am noticing that if I'm turning and accelerating, or if I have 2 wheels off the ground one of my tires just spins. However, I have not noticed much spin on straight launches, just a little bark.
I am using the stock rear diff, and a 6-MT w/o DCCD that I got from Gruppe-S.

Is the center diff on a 6-MT an LSD?
Is front diff on a 6-MT an LSD?
and finally, I thought the rear diff on a WRX was an LSD?

Since I didn't manage to be smart enough to find the answers to these questions before I did this swap
How can I get rid of the wheel spin while cornering, and the wheel spin w/ 2 wheels w/o traction? Hopefully without costing too much.

Um... i could be wrong but... i believe the stock differential is going to cook your center differential unless you change it soon.

I was told that a 6mt uses a different rear differential gear ratio in the back 3.90 i believe.

If this is the case CHANGE IT NOW!!

you're talking about the diference in gear ratios ... i fixed this problem with a ring and pinion that matched the front 3.90

I completed the swap with alot of help from I-clubers, Gruppe-S, and a dealer. It was done right.
I'm questioning the effects on my "symmetrical awd system"

I know it probably won't be as effective in the snow and on the ice as it was with the read spider gears locked up .... but hopefully i won't just spin two wheels all the time

The 02-03 model has a LSD in the rear

the 6mt in the sti used

Front: "SureTrac" Limited-slip front axle
Rear: Mechanical Limited-slip rear axle

the 5mt in the wrx used

viscous locking center differential
Limited Slip rear

Whats your Center diff set at btw?

 

have no idea ... bought it from Gruppe-S, didn't know it could be "set"

after looking at the Gruppe-S site better i've noticed that instead of just being w/o DCCD it says w/o LSD ........

 

I'm confused man.

I'm guessing your center lsd isn't there at all?

If so i guess you could pick on with a 35/65 setup and have it installed
