I dont believe it is so much the horsepower as it is the torque........I dont know the advertised ratings, but i can tell you that when assembling one, the hollow(driven shaft, counter shaft) shaft, is placed in a jig after it is pressed together and the staked nut holding it all together is torqued to almost 400 ft lbs. And thats static.....in a jig........unable to move....without so much as even flexing.....imagine how much it can handle rotating. The 6MT is a whole new animal. Now you just have to keep your rear axles from snaping......
