tranny and motor mounts

You can jack up the front of your car, put it on jack stands and then use a regular hydraulic floor jack to support near the back of the transmission while you change out the transmission mounts. Changing the mounts is fairly straight forward to do. If you've got the car on a lift then you could just have somebody support it while you change out the mounts. When changing a clutch using a lift I usually just have somebody push the back end upwards while I put the bracket back on.
Installing the tranny mount is real quick and easy...the motor mounts are the *****. As if the passenger side one wasn't bad enough the drivers side is MUCH worse. Apperantly the steering box makes it tough to get to the bolts so we had to unbolt that and move it a but to get to them.
Well worth it though.

A very worthwhile upgrade in my opinion. The first time I got to try the upgrade at an autox the differnce was very apparent, daily driving not much difference (I haven't experienced the increase in NVH). What I have experienced is more "hooked up" feeling when pushing the rex hard and I like it.
The engine mount install is a bit of a pain, I had trouble getting the bolts to line up- my helper finally got moving the floor jack side to side, which helped. I also didn't remove/disconnect the pitch rod- that may have helped also.
A great mod- next rear diff mount.

With the swap completed the engine was rock solid and you could feel more of the engine through the shifter. Nice add-on IMO.
Excuse the bump from the dead....
Does anyone have the P/N located on the mount itself? Particularily the STi Tranny Mount.
Group N starts with a D101...
STi starts with an A020...?
