I have a MY99 RS. I want to give it a turbo later, maybe an A'pexi or something not no sure on exactly what yet. I am planning on upgrading the transmission soon. I have heard that the stock transmission can't handle too much of a HP increase without rounding off 1st and 2nd. I would like to add taller gears too.

anyone have any suggestions?

 

Yep its been asked alot of times. Chalak gears or older 5spd STI M/T and still run the risk of it breaking or you could look into a 6spd STI transmission, the axles, hubs, flywheel and clutch.
