Take off RPM...
For my Ej18 Impreza with a 5 speed manual, to take of smoothly with obsolutely 100% any sort of feeling, I need to take off at 2000-2400 RPM according to the tachometer. Is this bad?
I am used to driving an old Mercedes 240D Diesel with a 4 speed hyrdraulically assisted clutch. Never shuddered at all.
I can drive the Impreza, but occasionally get a shudder...whats up? BTW...new clutch.

it sounds like the clutch is the problem...i had a very similar problem in my 02 WRX with the original clutch. they put in a new, lighter clutch under a technical service bulletin specifically for Clutch Judder (or Shudder, same thing). i can now launch at 500rpm where once i HAD to launch EVERY time at over 1000-2000rpm. it's like driving a whole new car!
