Does anyone know the possibility and cost of changing out an AT tranny from and 06 2.5 to a manual??
I made the mistake of buying and Auto because of the pain of driving manual in the snow, and now i regret, please help me out on this!

I wouldn't even consider it on a car that new. It would be easier to sell it and get a manual transmission-equipped car. Swapping the transmission would void your warranty, even if you bought all new parts and had a dealer do the swap. If you really really want to dit it, it's not actually that hard. You basically need a 5 speed gearbox, the linkage, clutch and flywheel, pedal box assembly, clutch master and slave cylinders to match the gearbox, a 5 speed ECU for your year car, and possibly some rewiring. It's straight forward, but time consuming and labor intensive.

are you sure thats all thats needed?
tranny
linkage
clutch/flywheel
pedals
clutch cylinders
ecu
and wiring?
I thought the 5 speed driveshaft was longer and the final drive ratios were different, requiring a new rear diff. can we get a brucelee ruling on this please?

I'll have access to a good donor car for cheap. Thats the only reason I'm actually going to do this...in the past it was just a dream
oh yeah, and the labor is $1k at FLI....I would hit up Gruppe-S...but yeah
