Anyone know what a stock clutch for an 04 WRX is and what it can handle??? Would it be better to just replace it now before I get into my mods or later when I'm further down the road?

sylencce- the stock clutch on the WRX is made by Daikin, who also makes the Exedy line of clutches. The stock clutch should be plenty good even w/ a VF34 upgrade, provided that you don't ride or drop the clutch at 5000rpms. I know several people w/ over 30K on their VF34 setup WRXs.

prspect06- stock clutches for around $340. You're better off getting an upgraded clutch, like the Exedy Sport clutch for around $420 when the time comes to replace the clutch.

Is it a moderate clutch? I don't wanna add any extra stress to the tranny.
