stage 2 clutch install?

hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone out there can help me out....i was wondering how i can find out if my car has a stage 2 clutch install. i bought this car use its a 2012 wrx 17,000 miles...the clutch pedal feels very stiff and I'm taking the car in for tranny problems so don't want to have any surprise that the previous owner had install a stage 2 aftermarket clutch? any feedback please and thanks

What are you comparing the clutch pedal stiffness to? I had a Spec stage 4 clutch and the pedal was softer than the HD OEM unit but it could take MUCH MUCH more power and abuse than the HD OEM. I wouldn't call it a bad surprise to find a stronger than stock clutch and it shouldn't change what the transmission person is in there to look at, "The tranny".

yeah I'm take the car to subaru dealer and you know how does guys are they try to find anything to get away and don't pay there claims under factory warranty
