Slow car

As before I stated, I have a 06 STI. I went from a 1995 honda accord lx... to the STI. So I was REALLY feeling the 300 all wheel drive horses, It made me hot in the pants. But now when I ride... I feel as if my car is getting slower.. Is it me getting use to the car or what? I drove in the dealer ship with my blue ghost (light blue 95 accord) nice and slow and weak. I want that rush again when I pulled out of the dealership and punched it. I ride my buddies in it and they say its still fast as ****, but Im just like bahhhh.. Feels like its slow to me. Am I just finally use to the 300 horses or is there actualy something wrong.
