Short throw shifter or alarm and...????

Allllright...here's my situation. Just bought a new 2003 wrx wagon and asked for the short throw shifter. They didn't install it yet, so I took my wrx home and actually didn't mind the throw on the standard transmission.

Problem is, I already paid the three hundred bucks for the shifter and getting them to cut me a check for the $300 seems like pulling teeth with the dealership. (Of course they don't want me to remove options...)

So I decided to get the security system upgrade instead. That leaves about $90 left for me to blow at the dealer, but I don't really see anything in that price range that I can add to the car that would make me happy.

What should I do? Keep the short throw? Get the alarm and try and ask for some $$ back? Get the alarm and get something else???

Recommondations would be greatly appreciated!
