Short Shifter question

I have a 2004 WRX which I bought from the dealer slightly used...I had the car for two years and now thinking of getting a short shifter. After weeks of research of which one to get I decided to go with the Cobb short shifter.

During that research I took a look at my own shifter and found it it looked different from the OEM shifter and I did research today and found out I have a STI assembly short shifter.

My question is can put a cobb lever on that assembly?

Is a cobb lever better than the STI lever?

The reason why I ask is because I would prefer the lever to be a shorter

thanks
