reverse, then POP
reverse, then POP
Today it was 44 F in houston, I was starting my car for the fresh morning of school and work woohoo,
. So i waited for my coolent to get half way hot, I put it in reverse , took off the clutch, added gas and i hear a loud :POP: noise from the back of my car.....no CEL everything works good, I haven't hit WOT yet today.
the list of mods are;
hks catback, god speed downpipe, kart boy short throw, and utec is coming in next week.
I don't take turns hard much or anything but, someone suggested my axles flexing and caused the pop.
Thank you for you help, It is muchly appreciated.

My guess is a sway bar brushing, but without describing the level and type of pop, it is hard to know. My brushings on my steep an bumpy driveway sometimes make a distinctive pop (not loud, not metalic, not a "crack" sound, more like breaking bubble wrap) when I first reverse.
