original clutch finally going...

now that i can feel the original clutch starting to slip at times after logigng 74k in my 04 WRX, i've got to figure out what the best way to solve the issue is. dealer says the clutch only comes with the full assembly which is $1300. are there better (cheaper) alternatives than getting the full assembly? other than a bit of spirited driving, the car hasn't been beat on at all. thoughts?

i would say if you can do it yourself go for it... buy an exedy or ACT or even competition clutch and install yourself... the dealer is way too high... you buy the parts and take it to a shop and have them do it it would be so much cheaper!!!
