Unhappy is my gearshift damaged?........

I don't know what is happening but my WRX Is confronting a little problem sometimes when I change (for example)from 3rd to 4th the gearshift feel blocky I need to push with strength to move it and put in the place and sometimes from 1st to 2nd.
sometimes to resolve the problem i put the gearshift in neutral position and move to the sides and try again and get fixed.
Did somebody of you know what is the problem? Is something that I can fix removing the cover of the gearshift?
Thanx
