is my awd working?? and mod issues
I bought a used 98 subaru legacy 2.5gt wagon in october...
there was quite a few snowstorms here in NY...during those times i have skid quite a bit...am I suppose to even though i got AWD??...is it common to skid?...how do i know if my awd is working?...
thanks in advance...
I really want to mod my car, mostly handling mods...like new springs, struts and such...
any suggestions on wat mod to do??...and please tell me where I can find such products!!...
i'm so new at this...but yet i'm really interested in it...
thanks again

You will still skid on an AWD car. AWD isn't usually pro-active enough to stop a skid (Subaru claims the new VDC Outbacks can) before you notice it. What you will notice, though, is that its very easy to get out of the skid.
For the Legacy, I'd suggest suspension, swaybars, endlinks, brakes, etc.
Good luck man, welcome to the Legacy family.

yeah, as he said, you are still gonna slid around, but you will just have way better control to get out of it, it takes some time to get used to, so play around in parking lots and what not every time you get snow or slippery conditions. (just make sure there are no lamp standards around )
