Check this out i have a 02WRX cat back , CAI, BOV the usual MODs. Anyway i had the clutch replaced under warrany bout 1k miles ago did the correct break-in for the clutch and 2 days ago i was sitting at a traffic light and when it went green i started to pull away normally and then i heard a (BOOM AND THUD) so i was like WTF and continued to give it gas when it was like the clutch was slipping the rpm revd and i didnt move so ii pushed in the clutch and pulled it out of gear and then tried to put it back in gear but the shifter would budge or move at all. Called SOA roadside they came and towed it to a dealer down the street get there and this dealer gives me a LINE bout how there not going to be able to look at it for a month and that since the other dealer did warranty work on it then they didnt wanna touch it. So i asked bout a rental car b\c every time if had work done at my dealer they gave me a rental he said nope no rentals and that i was SOL. I TOLD HIM WHAT BULLS!@# Called SOA roadside back told them what was going on and they sent out another tow truck took 90 minutes to get a roll back out. Droped it off a my dealer went in the next day to my new service advisor saying "what did you do now" i said what did you all do he sadi" you drive it , i said you supposedly fixed it. Anyway got a rental and was told that they'd have the tranny out that afternoon. So i called back around noon he gave me a attitude and said " I TOLD YOU I"D CALL WHEN I FOUND OUT SOMETHING" i told him that i was just checking in . This guy is a trip he's prolly in his 40's wears a BOW TIE and a darby hat and a cheap suit PEE-WEE's dad i think. THis was WED called today and talked to his boss the service manger who is now handleing my case he said that friday a FACTORY REP has to come and OK the work since i have stuff done to the car. Now this is strange since they've replaced 2 sets of cam seals a oil pump seal and a PS Pump under warramty with no factory rep. Hmmmmmmmm. OHH AND my car has 28k on it.

 

Your situation really sucks. Sounds like they screwed up replacing the clutch. Hope it works out with you. Maybe you should go to another dealer when this is worked out.

 

Alright heres what i was told by the SOA rep. After a nice 45min of the SOA rep and the SRVC MNGR tag teaming me they said B\c the cars is mod'd CAT BACK, CAI, AND BOV witch have been there every orther time they warranty it that it caused more HP the stock and that cased the TRANNY to go, FIRST GEAR GONE AND the OUTPUT SHAFT. And they Voided my warranty this morning. And one of there techs who is a ICLUB member told them i raced the car. SO GOOD OLE SOA F$#^%& me today.So now they want 6500 for a new tranny LOL so does anyone now a good place to get a used one ?

Yeah, because abuse should be covered under warranty. It was obviously defective parts.
