High stall torque converter. Worth the money?

Hi.

Has anybody had any expirience with high stall torque converters?
Are they worth it?
My REX is A/T and I absolutely can't floor it off the stop...well, it stalls!!!!
Have to take it easy till like 2000RPM. Other then that A/T works fine for me.
So I was thinking to swap for M/T first, but that's too much trouble.
High stall converter on the other hand seems like a good idea, but I know nothing about those. Need advise!!!!
Also would light weight flywheel work with A/T?

Thanks in advance.
