getting new clutch...is new flywheel good idea?
hey guys i am looking for a new clutch for my wrx. i have about 290 horses or more since the new mods. i was looking into Rps street max clutch...or a ACT clutch.....which is better.......
also i might as well change the flywheel since i am opening up the tranny... i have heard to stick with a 14 lb or higher.....what is a good brand that is not to light..... i could only find that the act flywheel was 13.9lbs...
i need some opinions on the clutch/flywheel set up... i dont want to break the tranny......
ps shouldi go ahead and replace the clutch slave cylinder???
where are the best deals???

It's definitely a good time to change the flywheel. Instead of resurfacing your old flywheel get a lighter one while you're there. I happen to have an Brand New ACT pro-billet flywheel which weighs 12lbs. I know a few people with mild to crazy mods that have the same flywheel on their car and they seem to love it. I'm sure you'll be fine with it. Let me know if you're interested, I'm going to sell mine in the mean time since I need money for my brake upgrade right now. PM me I have pictures of the flywheel.

rode in a friends car with the ACT flywheel and clutch, Wow. just from the passenger seat you can tell a big difference in throttle response.
curious if any of the tuners on these forums have tested the possibility of too light a flywheel causing the knock sensor to trigger a timing or fuel adjustment cutting back on power?
