It's definitely a good time to change the flywheel. Instead of resurfacing your old flywheel get a lighter one while you're there. I happen to have an Brand New ACT pro-billet flywheel which weighs 12lbs. I know a few people with mild to crazy mods that have the same flywheel on their car and they seem to love it. I'm sure you'll be fine with it. Let me know if you're interested, I'm going to sell mine in the mean time since I need money for my brake upgrade right now. PM me I have pictures of the flywheel.
