ok what is the difference of the 2? I see the ra spec for around 1200 but an STi tranny cost 6k!!!?

Enlighten me plz

 

Does that include syncros? Everythign that's inside the gearbox right?

 

The obvious difference is 5spd vs 6spd. Beyond that may people believe the stamped case halves of the WRX tranny flex under high horse power and cause the gears to break. I don't know if this is fact or theory. The RA gears go in your wrx case and are made with better metallergy, shotpeened, cryogenicly treated and has taller 1st gear and shorter 2nd-5th gears. Would love to hear from anyone with the RA gears to see if they have had any problems yet as this seems to be the best transmission upgrade out there.
