Final Gear Change out ?

Final Gear Change out ?
Has anyone done the final gear (differential gear) swap out to 4.44 ? I saw it on rallispec.com and was wondering if this helped with anything besides wasting gas and redlineing too fast. Thanks

I would also like to know about this. I recently purchased a ver. 6 sti ra full tranny and was wondering if it came with a 4.44 if not...I might think about that conversion....Actually I bet my gears (when they get here thursday) are gonna be so short anyway that i wont want it to be geared any shorter...hopefully this is the case. None the less, I am still curious about this 4.44 swap

That is where I got the idea from, although a site filled with great hard to find artifacts at good prices, they never respond to unsolicited mail.
