dont really know where to post this but...
as my other thread stated, i think i have lost integrity of third gear, and i was wondering if anyone has done what i am thinking and had a successful attempt.
i have my turbo upgraded to a vf43 with sti pinks, ebay tmic, helix up/down pipe, walbro fp, and i have an apv2 with the stock map still on it. i was thinking of putting my stock dp with heat shield, and tmic back on, in hopes they wont see the up because it is wrapped in heat wrap, and ask them to check out the noise and replace what need be to make it not explode.
has anyone done this under warranty or have a reccommedation to a subaru that would be more leniant towards doing this at due to slow business? i just hit 50k so i still have the powertrain warranty. my friends dad used to be the service manager at a subaru and suggested this route. he left by choice, just thought id throw that in.

Depending on where you take it is going to be the issue
any mod on the engine will be found so if its not fully stock they could choose to void your warranty on the transmission repair. also if they can tell you been wrenching on stuff in there could pose a problem,
i have heard alot of bad storys about subaru dealers in the bayarea and warranty coverage. so that in mind even the turbo may be a issue
if you cant go back to fully stock you may have to pay for this out of pocket
