Difference between 2.2 and 2.5 tranny
A general question for those who have more insight...
I need information about the torque differences between these transmissions (manufactured after '98).
I intend to use one of them in a "home project" but I need to handle 250ftlb.
Is the 2.2l able to handle the torque? Did anybody squeezed like 200+ HP out of that engine and the tranny performed without problems?
I know 250HP from 2.5 and it worked fine.

I think the 2.2L has slight taller final drive ratio than the 2.5L's. but others are very simliar..should be able to handle up to 250hp no problem. IIRC, I-speedusa has a few OBS w/ EJ20 swaps, and they are using its stock tranny.
