Deceleration noise in 05 WRX 5MT... HELP!!!!
Hi everyone,
Is anyone getting that loud deceleration noise in their 05? Like all the others with MY02 - MY04 it happens in gears 2-4 when I let off the gas anywhere above approx 3250 RPMs. Is there a fix??? Dealership said it’s normal but it cant be. I’m stock with the Subaru short throw shifter. I have about 1,650 miles.

Either the decel noise has declined in my WRX or I've just gotten used to it over the past 30k miles... FWIW, the sound decreased (for me) by running 4-5psi higher air pressure in the front tires than in the back tires...YMMV
