Dead clutch pedal

I haven't been able to drive my car for a while due to this damn ankle thing... but hopped in last night, and ran into this clutch thing too. Asked my wife, who's been driving my car latelty, and she said it only happens when it's hot and didn't feel the need to mention it.
Glen... on the T/O bearing, did you do just the bearing or did you replace the clutch while you were in there? Mine has been squeeking for a year now, and I've been waiting to fix until ready to replace... until it starts slipping.
Anyone have the part numbers handy to go along with the clutch TSB? Or did I just miss them?

Nope, the clutch was still pretty robust. He did discover a brewing problem with grooves wearing on the trans "snout" though. Check out this thread w/pics and link to the manufacturer. Wish I'd known about it before the car went back together!

SO... yesterday I went ahead and replaced slave, master, hose, etc. The stuck pedal had already gone away prior to, due to cooler weather? Anyway... should be good for a while now, and won't have to worry about toe-lifting the pedal, grinding gears, or not being able to shift. My local subaru mech., and the local dealer said to replace the master too... so that's what I did... still wonder if it was really neccessary.
Still interested in hearing results/experiences with the pdm slave etc.
Has anyone messed with the adjustment at the push rod / pedal assmembly for a more prime engagement point?

This problem happened to me last night. I have a 2000 GT Wagon.58,000 miles.
After my car sat for 30mins the problem was still there. While driving it to the highway on ramp from the Wholesale club parking lot the pedal would only come up half way, total distance to ramp, maybe 1 mile. On the on ramp problem still there, left trans in 4th while I merged with traffic. At about 70mph I shifted to 5th the pedal came back to normall.
I glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem,
Thanks for the advise
