So today i went to look at the car i was going to buy for a project/ parts car. I get there and it starts but doesnt roll. I knew that part. What i didnt know was that it was fwd. I was planning on fixing this car and then putting the tranny in mine eventually. Well its a 1.8 and mine is a 2.2. Just wondering what is need to make the fwd tranny work for awd? I might not do it just get the car still and also how the tranny would feel in my 2.2? Is it a hydrolic or cable in a 93 4 door?

Probably a cable. I dunno if you can go from FWD to AWD to be honest. Maybe... who knows? I'd say look for a newer car. Maybe '96 or newer.

 

Yea i mean no biggy if i cant go from fwd to awd ill still probably pick it up. I would be getting it real cheap in the couple hundreds so ill probably pick it up anyways. It has a carbon hood and stuff. Maybe just something to beat on =]

 

Yeah... I dunno if there is a market for that type of stuff off the old school L. Could be a good beater though.

 

Yea i thought it was a cable clutch. The hood looks just like yours.
