clutch pedal sticking

In my 98 rs I somestimes get play in my clutch pedal where it does not want to come back up when I depress the clutch. Sometimes it will be like that for a few hours where it does not want to come back up. The na few hours later it is as stiff as ever what is wrong and should I be concerned. If my guess is right I should be.

Sounds like the master cylinder maybe going. Did you also recently change the clutch?

Check if your master cylinder is leaking any fluid at all. Check the pedal area as well to see if any fluids are present in the base area of the pedal. I think the master cyl would be the best bet.

Good luck.

Not sure how many miles you have on your car, but there is a TSB on this exact problem. Check it out at Scooby Mods.com.
