blown clutch?

blown clutch?
I got off work, got on the freeway and 10 seconds later, my shifter was unable to go into any gear and was stuck on neutral.
My car had a lil burnt clutch smell before it stopped shifting.. I have an 04 STi with 13k miles on it. I've never raced it on the drag or anything like that. What was weird about this is that when i pulled over the freeway and had the car off, i was able to shift into anygear. Its just when the car is on, it wouldn't shift. After my car was towed to the dealership, one of the salesmen checked out my car (all the mechanics left) and was able to get the car into gear when the car was on.
Can somebody tell me whats wrong?

Clutch is gone...thats what it sounds like...take it in,, get it replaced..better to be on the safe side...
