I was just wondering if it is possible to convert a 1998 Impreza L from Automatic to Manual. I am in the process of swapping a JDM GC8 Sti motor into the 1998 L, but the damn thing is an Auto. Can it be done?? Any info would help!

 

yea it can, i am in the process of converting my auto svx to manual. I plan to use a 91 legacy tranny which is supposedly the same as the imprezza. Check this site even though it is for an svx, it will be similar..
