1998 2.5 RS Automatic to Manual Conversion

To all of the 1998-2001 2.5 RS ownders out there have any of you coverted your Automatic tranny to a Manual? I want to buy the RS that is in another post, but it is an automatic, and I was wondering if it is extremely difficult, to do. I definitly want to put a five speed on the car. Are the holes for the clutch and everything already cut if I pull up the carpet in the Auto model?

the holes are there but blocked off you need the ecu, trans, pedals, clutch master and slave, cluch and flywheel, rear end ,rear subframe, your front shafts will workbut you will need the rear(of course)..you also need to change the fuel tank so in my opion just find a 5spd

Now why do you need to change the fuel tank, and why does the ECU have anything to do with this? Please humor me, I am not an expert. I am just trying to understand.
