99 2.5 rs tranny problem
99 2.5 rs tranny problem
I have somewhat of a problem with my subie tranny. The clutch pedal goes to the floor and won't come back up. I'm real careful with my clutch, no heavy launches, no downshifting. Could it be the clutch slave cylinder. Also the it is hard to change gears 1st to 2nd and 1st to 2nd grinds sometimes. The car has 92,000 and no noticalbe slippage yet. I do know about the clutch shudder most common in the 2.5rs line. I'm guessing that's caused by the defective clutch slave. Does anyone know of a fix for the shudder?

The shudder is related more to the clutch disc. Your problem seems to be either with the clutch line or with the slave cylinder as you stated. Start by bleeding it, then make sure that the pedal is adjusted to engage at the proper height.
