automatic tranny problem

my mothers AWD 95 legacy is jerky when making tight turns at slows speeds(parking lots) and she went to the dealer and they said it would cost 1500-1600 to rebuild the tranny to get rid of this problem

when she got the car, the AT fluid was changed and friction modifiers added because of LSD but was too much added maybe?

has anyone else had a problem like this?

well i found out that after my post that the car was run will the wrong size spare tire and that might have burned up the center and front or rear where ever it was placed

this sounds right but way wouldnt the LSD slip really bad instead of a complete lockup which is how it fells

It actually sounds like the dreaded "torque-bind" common in the 4eat transmission. Your best bet may be to look for a low mileage used tranny to put in there. I'm having the exact same problem with my '93 turbo wagon and I'm facing the fact that I'm going to have to do something soon as well. It'll be costly either way, but rebuilding is by far the most expensive proposition.
