92 legacy transmission sound

Hello,
My 92 legacy front wheel drive (automatic) makes a thunk when changing gears. Just replaced the axles . It had the sound before the axles where replaced also. When in park it will roll several feet before it stops . I imagine the two are related. Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

Those could be related. How many miles on your automatic?
