30k Check Up

I recently had my car in for the 30k check up as recommended, but I should start off by stating that the last 2 winters the transmission, my car is parked outside, acts as if it is moving through frozen molasses, but no problem shifting the tranny. Now since I have had the 30k check up, when I am down sifting into 2nd gear, I cannot get it to go in. I don't want to force it for fear of damaging the tranny. Took it into the dealer today and imagine that, they couldn't replicate the problem. When I was leaving the lot, it did it again. The dealer told me to contact them again when it happens. They'll be receiving a call tomorrow because I know it will happen in the morning. The dealer tech claims the car is "in spec." It only does it the first 10-15 minutes after it starts and then goes away. Anybody have this before or experience a similar problem? No mods.
Do you have any idea of what 75-90 gear lube looks like after a cold night outside? Just like the molasses feel you get from the gear box. Warm it up in neutral for a few minutes to get some heat into the lube and all will be much better. Trying too hard to shift while the lube is still cold will only make things worse.
