03 forester transmission does it have stub axels

03 forester transmission does it have stub axels
i picked up a transmission out of a 03 x forester and there where no stub axels
i also have a cv shaft for a 04 forester and the stub axel was on the cv shaft
i thought that only the 05's and the sti had the stub axels on the cv shaft
