My automatic runs a 12.718 at 107.7 MPH.
And that is not from a turbo timer! It is from the timing slip that I got at the drag strip. It also says "1st Finish" on it.
Dont be to hard on your self, give her what she wants. Then she might, and I said Might, let you make a few changes to it so it will run in the 12's.

I can mod it all I want, as long as it doesn't make the ride unbearable, the exhaust too loud, or the gas milage too poor.
Since you're only a full second slower than me at the track (
), you're the man to talk to. Give me your advice.If you had to compromise the proper go fast parts in order to keep the car reliable (she uses it to travel around the state), relatively quiet, decent ride comfort, and gas consumption close to stock, what would you mod? Torque converter and MBC would be two main ones, right? What else?

My car has all of the stock components, including the muffler.
The only mods are to the motor, the turbo and the intercooler. I made them all bigger!
My fuel milage is down by 2 or 3 mpg but it is worth the trade off.
I assume that your cobra must be pretty stock also if it only runs 11.7

. I only dyno'd at 440RWHP and 460RWTQ. How much did your mods cost?

How is my tranny/clutch holding up
I thought this topic was about Automatics.
As for the cost of my mods, the turbo was $875, the intercooler was $460, and the pistons were $312. The rest of the motor was built from scrap parts that were laying around.
Oh yeah, the car cost $1500 with a dead motor.
Looks like $3147 for a 12 second car.
How much did it cost you for your 11 second car

Yes, I lovvvvvvvvve my fast pice of *****.
But what I love even more is to see a verry expensive, and slow ford pice of ***** in my rear view mirror. Come to think of it, I like to see all of the big three mussle cars eat my dust.
