Practicing my launching

Lately i've been working on my launching pretty thuroughly. I do not street race but i need a place to practice since the Strip is so far away, so i did it at airport road. Out of many launches the one i felt was best was when i held the revs a little above 3k, held the clutch near the friction point, then tried flooring it and immediately after letting out the clutch as quick as i could without dropping it. There was a little tire squel but the car did not buck like my previous attempts. I have an 04'wrx sedan with Potenza RE01 tires and im wondering if you guys think that was a good launch and what can i do to improve? thanks.

It didnt feel like i dropped the clutch though. If i launch without spinning my tires than the car bucks and it feels like crap. Its so much easier to launch my N/A forester i guess i've gotten too used to it.

uumm from my exp. i feel if you rev. between 4rpm to 5rpm then on the rev. up to 5rpm drop the clutch, it will jump and keep going.

Tire chirp would actually indicate that power was transfered through the drivetrain to the wheels effectively, rather than being absorbed by the tranny, diffs, etc... so, if you're going to be hard-launching the car (which will definitely eat up your gearbox faster than not hard-launching it), a little chirp is a good thing.
