i just take it to 55k-6k and rev-rev-rev-rev-rev....and completly let go of the clutch and gun it....youll notice a big diffrence...its going to be one strong pull through out firts...no bog ... im guessing when you launch your car kinda "hops" foward....and then starts to spool....thats not what you want...
What you wanna do is launch WITH the the turbo spooling spooling spooling spooling....just practice...YOUTUBE the motha****a!

I think some of the problem will be the manual boost controller.

if the car has a stock ECU and tries to limit the boost for whatever reason, and it cant (it tries to open up the waste gate more, but sees no response) it will interpret that something is wrong with the car and go into a sudo-limp mode. It will cut timing as much as possible to limit the damage it thinks will occur since the boost cannot be controlled.

Myself coming from the turbo DSM crowd, I did this to my 02 WRX when I bought it new, and it was slow as hell. As soon as I ditched the MBC and went with a reflash option, the car woke up and was making good power.

take out the MBC and hook back up to the stock Solenoid, and I bet you will see better times. Go with an ECU reflash if you want to make more power.
