Noob question about launching (and shifting to 2nd gear)

You know, this thread just explained a LOT of things to me about my transmission... Going into 1st is a litte more b-itchy than I expected... reverse also. Does reverse also lack a synchro? Definitely would make sense... Now I know my transmission is NORMAL and I can just drive happy.

cool i would say to come to one of the next events coming up intro. yourself to some ppl. thats the best way to get clear answer's but ima search around for a good description for you i know i saw a posting awhile back

mmmm well dude i also have an '07 STI and i havnt lost a race yet! whether its been from a halt or a roll... here whats ive noticed about shifting that car: when u launch do it from about 3-4grand, shift every gear at around 6 grand, THIS CAR IS FREAKIN SWEET.. well that about covers that ive never had a problem with it sticking when ive been upshifting... really i think u just need to get a feel for the car. after 3k miles id figure ud have that though... ive had mine for like 1500miles and i already own that thing
